CNN anchor Alisyn Camerota reveals the death of Tim Lewis, her husband of 22 years, in a shocking post.

CNN anchor and political commentator Alisyn Camerota announced the death of her husband, Tim Lewis, on Friday after a two-year battle with pancreatic cancer.

Lewis, 58, died on July 27, two months shy of the couple’s 23rd wedding anniversary.

Camerota, also 58, wrote in a shocking Instagram post that Lewis died “two years after being diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer.”

“This month would have been our 23rd wedding anniversary,” she wrote alongside a photo of their wedding day in September 2001.

“I feel incredibly lucky to have had such a deep, committed and loving partnership for the time we had.”

The couple have three children, twin daughters Ale and Cessa and son Nate.

“I can’t imagine any human being working through a devastating diagnosis with more humor, humility and courage than Tim. He was a phenomenal father, husband, friend and role model, and the rest of us are left trying to follow in his footsteps,” Camerota wrote.

Camerota said she and her children “are still getting our bearings. Tim filled us with a lot of strength and stability and we are determined to try to emulate those qualities.”

“Tim devoted much of his life to giving back to his community and trying to make life easier for the people around him,” said Camerota, author of the recent memoir, “Fighting Love: A Story of Leaving, Longing, and Searching for him. Home.”

“To that end, we have created a fund in his memory to help other families enduring a similar struggle. I would be honored if you would consider a contribution,” she wrote to the Tim Lewis Cancer Foundation.

Lewis, who was originally from Kansas City, Mo., graduated from Yale University and the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern.

He has worked in private equity and business consulting and during his career worked at The Keystone Group, followed by CRG Partners and Atlantic Street Capital. He then joined Southfield Capital, where he was a partner for nearly 10 years.
